Opticians see baby hospice as a worthy cause

Cooper and Flower Opticians are holding a Designer Day, Friday and Saturday of this week following the recent refurbishment of their Coulby Newham Practice, completed by local company Wardells of Eaglescliffe.

During the Designer Days, customers will have a chance to meet representatives from leading frame designers, browse the expanded range of frames, where there will be special offers and the chance to win a Nikon Coolpix Camera in a free prize draw.

In celebration of the refurbishment, Cooper and Flower is pledging £1 to Zoe’s Place for every sight test carried out. (more…)

Mech-Tool bucks the trend with major growth

Mech-Tool Engineering Limited, a company specialising in explosion, noise and fire protection technologies, is bucking the trend in UK manufacturing by recording and sustaining across-the-board growth.

Mech-Tool, based in Darlington, County Durham, completed its most successful year on March 31 in terms of turnover, profit and securing future work, and is firmly on course to build on its upwards momentum in the new financial year. (more…)
