TO celebrate Lewis Hamilton’s spectacular success in the FI World Racing championship, north-east kids are being offered the opportunity to try out their skills as a future world motor racing 2020 Champion.

Middlesbrough-based Teesside Karting is offering 500 north-east children the opportunity of a FREE introductory karting taster session in a Biz Cadet Racing Kart on what is considered to be the world’s longest and fastest track.  The session will be delivered by the circuit’s qualified instructors who will provide a full safety briefing, an introduction to Kart Racing and advice and guidance. Circuit operator Bob Pope said, “Lewis Hamilton is a fantastic role model for kids.  Not only did he start his career in karts but so did David Coulthard and Nigel Mansell and look where it’s got them!  I want kids from the north-east to have that chance too, so this free taster session could be the start of something fantastic for another talented child.”

The “2020 The Dream F1 World Champion” offer is open during December 2008 and January 2009.  Children must be 8 – 15 years old and the first 500 to apply will be eligible for the free introductory karting taster session. Applications can be made through Century Radio’s website www.centuryradio.com or by calling Teesside Karting on 01642 231116.
