ITPS Teams Up with TSG to Win ITC Support Contract from Business Link North East

GATESHEAD: IT Professional Services (ITPS), the Gateshead-based information technology solutions and support provider, has teamed up with Technology Services Group (TSG) to win a contract providing ICT infrastructure maintenance and end-user support to Business Link North East (BLNE).
This collaboration has brought together ITPS’s own experienced on-site resource, helpdesk and TSG’s SystemCare and field support services. TSG System Care delivers proactive IT network management and reporting and will deliver considerable benefits to BLNE.
The overall objective of the collaboration is to deliver a single point of contact for all support-related issues within BLNE. ITPS’s on-site resources will be responsible for the delivery of direct end user support as well as the day-to-day administration for the ICT systems. This will be complemented by TSG System Care, which provides ITPS with the tools to deliver proactive support to all remote users. When any fault has been diagnosed, TSG will deliver on-site support to remote users, should this form of response be required.
A dedicated helpdesk has been set-up to receive and manage all calls for support or assistance. The ITPS on site team will be responsible for the analysis and maintenance of the overall infrastructure as well as supporting the users based at BLNE’s Seaham headquarters.

ITPS has already been contracted to supply all of BLNE’s IT architecture based upon an IBM Blade server and Storage Area Network (SAN) technology. BLNE has been provided with a Backbone enterprise-wide back up facility, Citrix deployment for remote worker access to systems based at Seaham and a public and private Wi Fi network throughout their headquarters building.
BLNE’s perimeter network, which includes a firewall, replication and data recovery systems and a remote worker system interface, is being hosted at ITPS’s Data Centre at Gateshead.
ITPS is also providing onward internet connectivity and access to BLNE’s multi-media converged voice and video communications platform, which is being hosted by NTL:Telewest.
